State Chapters
Evolution Of AHPI
The need to have a PAN India association, representing healthcare providers was felt. It was followed up with due consultation with industry leaders and a secretariat office was set up at IMA New Delhi on 5th November 2012.
Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani, who had superannuated from the position of Secretary General, Quality Council of India, took over as Director General (CEO). The AHPI was registered as a Society under the Society Registration act 1860 on December 21st, 2012 with Dr. Prem Nair as National President and Dr. Devi Shetty as National Treasurer.
With growing membership, it was decided to set up State Chapters. This was also keeping in view that many advocacy issues will be state based and therefore, local chapters would be able to take up the issues more effectively.
AHPI today has 20-functional chapters in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Goa, North Zone, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Northeast 1 and Northeast 2.
